TEENS AND TECHNOLOGY...uh oh

1 in 5 teens use their phone for pictures they would not show to their parents (cough, cough).....

That does not sound like something good to hear.

1 in 5 teens and 1/3 of young adults say they have sent almost naked pictures to someone else before.

Nearly one quarter of teens say that technology makes them personally more forward and aggressive.

.....And nearly 40 percent of teens believe that exchanging sexual content with others makes dating more likely.

This is really scary. First off there are online predators. Not to mention people with bad intentions who do not care about respecting your body because you do not respect yourself. The sad part is that the 40 percent of teens that believe dating will happen because they are going to make the other person fall inlove with their charm and wits will not work when there is this image stuck into their mental hard drive. Girls fall fast into this. A love partner does not come in express. So trying to hurry life up will not make it go any faster. It will just make it harder.

I really believe that the availability of things to people is causing them to want to give everything up so they can receive it all as fast. Appreciation is something that is often assumed but never applied. People's ideals on making life easy makes them forget the value of what someone cannot have just like that. ♥

MY AP PSYCH EXPERIENCE

It's been fun and I can actually say I learned something newwwww!!! Usually everything comes expected, but people are never what they seem. I learned how to respect the mind since it is way more complicated than I could ever imagine.....which explains those quiz grades hahaha.

I wish we could have seen more movies though. Sometimes I do think that psych needs to jump off the textbook page and apply it to a real person so we can trully appreciate the art of understanding people and their minds. Sadly, hurricane Ike just felt like ruining good potential psych school days...and making classes 10 times harder for everybody.

Mystery problems are fun too because it will either challenge us or it will come as a suprise who think they know everything.

Also I think it is important to see the emotional aspect of psychological problems. To be good psychologists we need to master the art of empathizing. The mind is one thing, but where it goes and what happens after the matter is something else.

I just felt like saying some things. Not because this class lacks it, but it could bring new ideas. The chapter at a glances beat the stepping through the section...... THANK YOU

I really enjoyed this class. Next full year I will take this class in college and at least now I know what direction I want to begin in. This was a good intro. Even if I dont choose to pick a path with this exact course, this knowledge will still help me with life.♥
